Her puppy found a home right away, but Viv is having a hard time. While recovering in staff offices from surgery to remove a mass from her eyelid, Vivian proved to be house trained, completely trustworthy to leave overnight and a huge fan of all people. She warms up to visitors immediately and rests her big chin on your lap, looking up at you with admiration and sheer joy. Although Vivian adores humans of all ages, she needs a cat-free home and will need to meet any canine members of your family. Vivian has a vocal and rowdy play style that can be off-putting to some dogs. But her kennel mate thinks she's a total blast! No sibling rivalry here! Stormy and Cali are bonded buddies who were best friends from birth. They have been through all of life’s ups and downs together and need to be adopted as a pair. Even though their family moved away, Stormy and Cali are happy to have each other. Stormy tended to Cali for 2 months in foster care as she recovered from infections, self-trauma and allergies. Frankie and Allie go together like peanut butter and jelly! These sweet siblings are heartbroken that their lifelong owner passed away, but they are so happy to still have each other. Gauge could really use a fresh start.  Brought to the HSSA after he severely injured his leg while entangled in a fence, Gauge went to a loving foster home to try to save his casted limb. Sadly, it couldn’t heal correctly after numerous attempts and had to be amputated. But valiant Gauge didn’t waste any time adjusting to his new circumstances.  He gets around easy peasy! In his previous home, Gauge got along great with other dogs and children who tolerated his enthusiasm. He’s always happy to play and cuddle. After living his entire life outside, Gauge will need some guidance with house training. But he’s eager to please and willing to learn. Toots is a hoot! Always good for a laugh, Toots turns cardboard boxes into secret fortresses, brings newspapers to life with a swat of his paw and can shimmy up, down and around scratching posts like an acrobat. Toots doesn’t act his age and is hoping to find a fun place to retire after his lifelong family moved away. Toots has grown up with several other cats and dogs and does just fine cohabitating with pets. He also has a good history with children but prefers to not be held. Just pets and scratches, please!
