Calling All Dogs for Tucson’s Cover Dog Search
Tucson Lifestyle magazine hosts citywide search for Tucson’s Top Dog

Humane Society of Southern Arizona Logo

Do you think your dog has what it takes to be on the cover of a top magazine?  Tucson Lifestyle is searching for one fabulous canine to grace the cover of its April 2010 issue, and is asking pampered pedigrees and lovable mutts alike to join in its cover dog competition.  If you think your canine is a contender, join Tucson Lifestyle, the Humane Society of Southern Arizona (HSSA), and celebrity judges on Saturday January 23rd from 9:30am – 1:30pm at the Brandi Fenton Memorial Park (on the corner of River & Dodge).

Every year nearly 400 dogs and their owners gather for this fun event. This year will be more fun than ever, featuring: pet related vendors with a variety of products and services, food and refreshments, early bird registration, double lines for shorter wait times, pet demonstrations, activities for pets and people, and much more!  Canine candidates will pose for a digital photograph which will be reviewed by a panel of celebrity judges including KOLD’s Heather Rowe, Scott Barker from Tucson Lifestyle, Amy Eades president of HSSA, Alan Michaels, Detective Therese Deschenes, and more. The winner will be notified by phone a few days after the event and must be available for a private cover photo session within two weeks of winning.

Register early at www.hssaz.org for a VIP entrance time, and a special package deal! If computers aren’t your thing, don’t worry, you may also obtain a registration form at the event.  The entry fee is a donation of $10 or more per dog. You may also purchase a mock cover of Tucson Lifestyle Magazine featuring your dog for $25.  Proceeds from this one-of-a-kind event benefit the HSSA and the animals in its care.
