Late-Night Kick Off for ASPCA
Challenge

With community support, the Humane
Society of Southern Arizona made it through the voting round and into the ASPCA
Rachael Ray $100K Challenge. As one of 50 competing shelters nationwide, our
real work begins now, and the HSSA is calling on you – Tucson animal lovers – to
once again to help us win big for our animals.
We’re going all out to win the
$100,000 top prize. Our goal, for the months of August, September and October is
to break record for the number of lives saved – reuniting or finding forever
homes for 3,000 dogs and cats by October 31.
To start the Challenge in a big way,
the HSSA is hosting a Late-Night Kick Off event on Friday, Aug. 3, at the main
shelter. Our adoption lobby will be open until 9 p.m. Visitors can enjoy free
eegee’s from 4-8 pm, free pet portraits from 5-7 pm, merchandise from our PAWSH
stores and free adoptions of adult cats and mixed-breed dogs over 25
pounds.
