If you have found a stray dog or cat that has identification tags, please
call the owner immediately. If the animal does not have identification
tags please bring it to our shelter, or call in a found report to 327.6088, ext. 111 as soon as possible.
Time is critical in returning
the pet to its rightful owner. We will work diligently to find its owner.
Please be prepared to provide us with as much information as possible
about the location where it was found, its health, temperament, and
any available information. This will help us in locating the pet's owner,
or in making the best possible decision about its adoptability and future.
If you have found a pet, take the following steps:
- File a found report with
our shelter at 3450 N. Kelvin Blvd. Our lost
and found phone number is 327.6088, extension 111.
- Post found dog or found cat posters in your neighborhood. Visit our lost & found poster page to download the applicable file.
- Immediately talk to neighbors and post notices
throughout the neighborhood and at all major intersections near where
the pet was lost.
- Place a "Found Animal" ad in the TNI Classifieds at 573.4343. Please also check the
found ads in the TNI Classifieds on a daily basis.
- Check the FOUND! Web site for lost pets.
