There are many ways you can help to build a better life for Southern Arizona's lost and unwanted companion animals:

Make a monetary donation to help us shelter and care for the nearly 10,000 unwanted and abandoned animals each year. (You may designate how you wish your donation to be used, or let us place it where it will do the most good.)

You can also donate by automatic deductions from your checking account, your VISA or MASTERCARD.

Donations of vehicles, goods and services are also greatly appreciated. Check our shelter wish list for needed items.

Become a member of HSSA! We rely on the compassion and generosity of our community to keep our doors open. With your annual membership, you'll receive a subscription to our quarterly newsletter "Humanely Speaking" as well as regular updates on our programs and invitations to special events.

Your membership ensures that we can continue our varied work in battling pet overpopulation & animal cruelty, caring for the homeless animals that come to us, and educating the public regarding animal care and compassion!

Our volunteers assist in adoptions, clerical work, events, foster care for animals too young for adoptions, animal grooming and socialization, and many other areas. Volunteers are needed throughout the year in a wide capacity. Volunteer orientations are held regularly to help you find your niche at HSSA.

Adopt a cat, dog, or other homeless animal in our care. Loving homes are always needed for our great companion animals.

·Kartridges for Kitties and K9s!>
Did you know that the toner cartridge you discard into the public landfill can take several hundred years to decompose?  Are you looking for an alternative to disposing of your used cartridges?  If you’re a supporter of HSSA, we’ve found the perfect solution to recycling toner cartridges while you help HSSA save homeless pets.

Cartridge World is coordinating a printer cartridge recycling program to help support dogs and cats in need of new homes at the Humane Society of Southern Arizona.   If you’d like to participate in this special program, just bring your empty inkjet or laser printer cartridges (black or color), to the Humane Society Shelter at 3450 N. Kelvin Blvd or you may also exchange your empty printer cartridge directly at Cartridge World and receive up to 50% off a newly refilled toner cartridge.  Store locations: 4592 E. Broadway (just west of Swan) or 7292 N. Oracle Rd. (just north of Ina).  A precentage of each exchange/purchase will be donated to the HSSA.  This small effort will make a BIG difference!  You’ll be helping our environemtn by not adding more cartridges to landfill, AND you’ll be helping homeless animals.
