HSSA Education Library Presents “Ethical Eating” Open House >
10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Education & Cruelty Prevention Resource Center, 3402 E. Kleindale. The public is welcome to visit the HSSA library and peruse our books, periodicals and displays on issues relating to the human diet and our treatment of animals in the food industry. Materials must be used on-site.

This new HIP event will allow kids, many of them city-dwellers, to learn about and interact with animals typically found on ranches and farms.

Animal Cruelty Taskforce’s “Tools of Animal Cruelty Investigation” Seminar>
ACT’s three-day training seminar is specifically designed for law enforcement, criminal justice, animal control and veterinary professionals.

“Secrets of Egypt’s Cat Society” Weekend Workshop for Kids >
Participants will hone their archeological skills as they examine the mysterious and privileged world of cats in ancient Egypt.
Activities will include creative, hands-on and group projects which will culminate in the recreation of a real “cat city” once located in the Egyptian desert! Ages 12 to 17.

HIP members are invited to bring their favorite pooch and join us for a fun afternoon of food, fun and frolic. Special ice cream and toppings will be provided for dogs. Games and other kid-and-dog activities will be offered throughout.

”Puppy Socialization” Weekend Workshop >
Taught by our staff of dog trainers, this workshop is designed to help younger children understand and safely interact with younger animals.
